Tbh I have no need for it with a small flat yard BUT the hackable battery deal on Amazon is better if you return the battery. Makes the self-propelled 7.5Ah only $429.
What's hackable the battery or the deal lol? As in returning the battery separately is the "hack"?
Yep (not my term… its slickdealese. lol)
How does that work? I've never heard of hackable on Amazon

Check the other thread but apparently they invoice separately and some had luck cancelling the battery only. Mine is still pending. Worst case, can sell it locally.
- You MUST pay $429, not $379, to get this mower. Amazon will then issue a promotional credit of $50 to your account 30 days after the order ships.
- You must spend the Amazon promotional credit before June 30.
- You can only get the promotional credit for your first order. If you buy a second mower it will cost $429, with no promotional credit.
- You can't buy an Amazon gift card with the promotional credit.
- Be aware of Amazon's limited return policy on this mower: "This item can be returned in its original condition for a full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt". (Of course you still get Ego's generous warranties on the battery, charger and mower.)
Lowe's have the same LM2101 mower on sale [lowes.com] in my area (south Florida) for $399 until April 3, bundled with a 6.0 Ah battery instead of Amazon's 5.0 Ah. Depending on your lawn size, that may be important. So no promotional credit, but a lower purchase price with a bigger battery. That's arguably a much better deal, especially if you need to return the mower for any reason. All that said, this looks like a decent deal if you want that mower, and you will be spending $50 on Amazon anyway. But it's not quite as rosy as the title and post suggest.

I was pretty clear in the OP. Also this mower has been OOS on the Lowes site for over a month for some reason.
