Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.

How it will create problem apart from it won't do certain things e.g. sms or incoming calls won't work?
My goal is not use service after 30 days and wait for them to unlock after 180 days.
Also, keep in mind that many people port out their number within 30 days and have their phone unlocked after 180 days.
In my opinion, the email with the title "Your phone activated" should trigger a 180-day unlock.

I bought Stylus 5G 2023 and today is the 183th day since I got the "You did it! Your phone is active" email.
I tried the "Device Unlock" App.
Initially it says "

When I hit "CONTINUE". It says

The MetroPCS SIM is in the phone the whole 6 months. I have activated for 30 days. Used it to make phone calls. And then I let it expire.

All I want is a number to be registered on the Metro network. It will never roll back, get unregistered, etc. After 30 days, the line will be suspended, and I am done anyway.
You will go through all the hassle to reclaim it if you care about that number.
If everything fails and the phone doesn't get unlocked after 180 days, I will sell it as a metro phone.
