Note that the 64GB version only offers 4GB of RAM. The 128GB version (also on sale, for $230) bumps the RAM up to 8GB. Not sure if it's worth the $50 additional, since the storage can be expanded with a MicroSD card. Would like to hear from anyone that's compared the performance of these.
Lol fire tablets man don't even
I was just debating if it was worth the extra to upgrade the storage and ram and has slightly better performance on the 128GB model. One thing to note is that the Micro SD card cannot hold any games or larger apps so you will have to rely on the internal storage only. IMO it does seem the $50 would be a good investment if you are planning to game on it. For all other casual users I think the 64GB should be good enough.

Why is the tablet background a picture of a toilet?
Samsung also makes toilets[samsung.com], so it's a bit of cross promotion across product lines. The photo appears to be of a prototype toilet developed by Samsung that is safe and designed for household use with heat-treatment and bioprocessing technologies to kill pathogens from human waste.

With that in mind, I decided to order the 128GB Galaxy A9+ toilet tablet.
I have the A9+ 128GB version with the 8GB RAM, and it's runs well! I also just received the update to Android 14 yesterday! I can't say I've compared the performance between the 4GB and 8GB RAM versions, but I have mostly great things to say about the 8GB version. It does exactly what I wanted it for and wanted the 8GB version just to future proof it a little bit and for the upgraded processor.
Any chance you use whoosh? My lenovo tablet crashes everytime I start a route.
got the 64gb at bj's a few weeks back when it was on sale with a free case. It's a noticeable improvement over the a8 and slightly larger. $40 for microSD and it's more storage than i'll ever need. I mainly use it for SWGOH and it handles it very well. For $180 I doubt you could find better. It does have a lot of samsung bloatware but you can uninstall or disable most of it.
I should have went with samsung instead of Lenovo P12...Soul purpose was to watch youtube....freaking videos will never get to higher resolution on its own....no matter what i tried...every video...i had to click ..while working out in elliptical or treadmill...ughhh...

There is this adopted storage thing to treat the memory card as part of the internal memory. The catch is that you cannot remove the memory card from the tablet once enabled. Maybe that would work to add 512GB for cheap? I haven't tried it though.
You got the iplay 50 mini pro with 8GB/256GB and a G99 (about the same speed as the SD695) for about $140ish. You can get one as cheap as $99 (8GB/128GB and G99) on Amazon.
Global Firmware Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad 2024 Tablet 8GB 128GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 Octa Core 11" Screen GPS WIFI Android Tab FOR $141 at aliexpress.
Why is it so much more money getting a Samsung? I will tell you why... cause they RIP YOU OFF!!!
Really looking at this, but there are other options around this price point especially since I'd be looking at the 12GB model. I care about a great screen and snappy performance more than anything, as I would use it primarily for media consumption and game streaming. Having pen features would be nice but not a big selling point. I also care a lot about software updates which is what makes me thing Samsung may be one of the better options.
Any other suggestions? Lenovo, Xiaomi, Teclast, etc.

Hmm. I wonder why people would be hesitant to buy a China exclusive tablet model from Aliexpress. Even if you could get accessories/support in the rest of the world, the chances that the tablet you get from Aliexpress is the actual tablet listed is a good margin less than 100%. I would easily pay 30% more to know I'm getting a legit product from a company that will at least pretend to stand behind it, and that I can get cases/accessories without waiting for 1-3 months for the boat to come in.
I paid $120 for fire max 11 since I needed a fast replacement for thfle ipad 7th gen which stopped charging. Fire max has been okay after instllalling google play store. Would it be worth upgrading to this samsung?
The fire Max 11 is 2% better than the A9+ with a newer chip and can decode H265 10 bit videos. If you are someone who likes to stream videos from a plex media server or run videos locally from your SD card the amazon tablet is better. See the geekbench comparison here

Replacing a Fire HD 10 (2017). Interested in stripping this back to bare Android. Will start some research after it arrives.
