decent for gaming, amazing for work and productivity. it stays very cool and quiet under load. very portable due to the slimness, weight (2nd lightest 14 inch gaming laptop, beat by 2024 g14), and screen size. the GPU can only run up to 65W which gimps the performance by quite a lot. i have the 4070 version and it runs the same as a 90W+ RTX 4060 in other laptops. if gaming is the main use case, i would suggest the legion slim 14.5" w/ the RTX 4060

the legion slim would be my choice. it will run games better due to the higher wattage gpu. the 16gb ram is definitely sufficient, but 32gb will give you that breathing room

Don't know why this isn't getting more love. This is a 2024 model with OLED. I understand the GPU is about 20% slower due to wattage limitations. However, the tradeoff for the OLED screen and latest generation CPU is worth it. I know the Lenovo slim 14.5 also has OLED, but the speakers are poor, and the chassis isn't 100% aluminum.

Legion Slim 14 for $1050 when on sale is a better choice. I was able to purchase a 32gb version direct from Lenovo for about the same price as this.

I can't imagine putting laptop speakers above having a better GPU when making a comparison. Having owned the Legion for two+ months now, the speakers are fine for a laptop and the negative comments are way overblown. The chassis has an aluminum lid and baseplate. That is certainly not going to make a difference in the long-term life of the laptop, nor more important to gamers than having the better GPU.
