I'm not running the math on this one because it's not a straight up protein powder. Using it as one would provide terrible value - the product is less than half protein. If you are a weightlifter or bodybuilder trying to add muscle, this is a very inefficient product for that.

It's a protein powder, fiber supplement, and herbal supplement all mashed together in one product. Probably geared to be taken more like a daily vitamin for general health.

That's not a product I would buy - id rather have three products so I can dose each of them separately. Also, too many unnecessary carbs, and fat.

I actually do take a multivitamin, protein powder, and fiber supplement. I can dose each component independently and I'm sure I pay a lot less than this product just from rough estimation, although I haven't run the math for exact numbers.

My fiber supplement is Kool aid orange and sucralose flavor. The protein is coffee based, and the multivitamin is a fruit flavor gummy. I'm not suffering in the flavor department.

Curious what is your diet if you have to supplement fiber, protein, and all vitamins? These would all come plentiful and in a much better form with a balanced, healthy, whole food diet. Gummies are horrible for your teeth as well. Just some considerations of course, do what you gotta do

You are right, whole food is important. I do that too.

- I take protein because I'm trying to get 215g of protein a day to add muscle mass, which is tough. It's mostly from food, but I do supplement, not everyday, but a 30-40g protein coffee when I don't have time for a high protein meal is helpful. You are right that living off the powders is unwise for multiple reasons.
- I take fiber because I used to be T2 diabetic when I was a lot heavier and had a worse diet. I just never stopped. Probably don't need it, but it's a small part of what I did to get normal blood sugar, and it worked (probably due to other things, not the fiber), but I'm not screwing with what worked.
- As for the multivitamin, my kid takes one, and it's delicious, so I take one too. Probably don't need it. Didn't take one for most of my life. Not worried about the sugar or teeth from two gummies a day.

That's part of why I don't want one product with everything in it.
- I want fiber everyday, but not protein everyday. Product doesn't do that.
- Some days are just busy and I might take more than one protein shake, does that mean I OD on fiber and vitamins?

I like products that have one job and do it well, rather than several and do it okay-ish.

Wow that's a lot of protein! If you are able to use that much then great. Have you looked into creatine? Helps some people more than others but sun warrior makes a good one if you're interested. Congrats on the weight loss.

I agree with you on the one job well, which is why I think it's good to supplement the vitamins you need at optimum levels for you instead of a multivitamin. I understand not everyone is interested in testing their levels though and it's easier with kids. My 2 take B, C, D, zinc, and omega as sprays\drops but they're used to it since young.

My father used to take fiber, protein, and a handful of vitamins daily. Prior to such he had 3 open heart surgeries, 10 angeoplasties, and was diabetic. After he took the vitamins & supplements for a few years he no longer needed angeoplasties or insulin and lived to 93 years old.

I'm sold on supplements. Our "whole foods" aren't what they used to be.

Not seeing the coupons, so YMMV. Likely because I bought one a couple of months ago.

I understand the reservations from others that this is not completely protein, but it's a perfect alternative for those who can't take whey due to lactose intolerance.

Do you have a list of the stuff he took?

i have a bunch of these from when Costco had a coupon. the vanilla flavor is OK to me but to make it taste better i put in a teaspoon of freeze fried strawberry powder and then a glass of soy milk instead of water to make this creamier.

I'm guessing the fiber and supplements weren't the only thing he changed in his life - there was probably other diet, and exercise, and body composition changes.

I was similar, not as severe. Had T2, but no major complications yet. I did the fiber and supplements, but also did weight training, took up a high protein lowish carb (not keto) diet, and lost 50-70 lbs.

Impossible to say which changes were effective and which weren't, because I didn't isolate them. So, I keep doing it, even though I'm sure some components are unnecessary.

Been looking for a cheaper alternate than Ensure. Is this a good replacement?

I would stay away from soy milk - get almond or better coconut milk
