Worse cuz they always break and cost an arm and a dick to maintenance
the black uniformity is atrocious.
The 80 series qleds haven't been good since the 2018 q8fn- (https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...-qled-2018)
I think I'd take the 70 series over the 80 every year, in fact I'd much rather have the 2019 q70r over this 2023 q80c( the contrast looks so good people think it's an oled and it runs at 4k 120hz w/ vrr flawlessly with only hdmi 2.0
case in point go 70 series not 80 series. if you go q70c, contrast up full, brightness 50-70% turn down the blue in the offset (and the green a pinch)
the reason to choose the q70 over hinsense or tlc flagships or mid flagships is that it handles non native pc resolutions better than any other brand.

compare here- (observe black uniformity and observe response time under motion)

I don't think alluding to this as the equivalent is the compliment you think it is.
