Jabra Evolve2 40 (the model above this) is great. It's wired, but the quality is so much better than any of the wireless headsets. Noise cancelling is great, the flip up/down to mute/unmute is great, and you'll get a lot of "Wow you sound good" comments on zoom calls. I don't know how the Evolve2 30 compares, but the 40 is awesome.
The one-earcup was a preference of mine for these, but YMMV as some prefer the dual-earcups. If you're just using it for talking/zoom calls, the 1 works great.
Jabra Evolve2 75 - A big step up in price, and wireless.. I like the fit of it, but the audio is pretty bad for dialog. Microphone is nice, but audio comes across tinny and compressed every time. Big step down from the Evolve2 40 in terms of voice quality, but improved in comfort. For MUSIC listening, it's great -- but once the microphone enables, quality goes way down.
Jabra Evolve2 85 - Another big step up in price, and wireless again. My favorite fit of them all, but the microphone is super annoying and terrible to use. If it's not angled right, people won't hear you at all. MUSIC sounds great, but once you turn to talking and the mic comes on, the quality dives again.
If you want a good microphone/headset for zoom calls or similar, the wired ones (like the one in OP, I assume) are great and so much better than the vast majority of $200 gaming headsets out there.

The single ear piece would distract me. I want something I can use to listen to music, as well as drown out background cubicle conversations.
I'm also a fan of a phsyical mute button instead of using a keyboard/mouse click to mute.
Agree with the previous commenter where you can sometimes find headsets at Goodwill (that's where I found my C3225). I used some rubbing alcohol and Dawn detergent to clean the ear cushions and everything.

You're totally correct, it all has to do with the Bluetooth protocol, but I just wanted to clarify that this $20 wired headset will sound better than the $350-450 wireless model and shouldn't be overlooked due to the low price or much higher models being available
Not normally. Just drastically dropped there as well. Check out camel
I, for one, understood your intent in your original post and found it helpful.
I had been on a hunt for a good microphone setup for wfh for a while to cancel toddler background noise, including higher end wireless options such as the Evolve2 85 and Orosound Tilde Pro and ultimately landed on a DECT option with the Jabra Engage 65 which worked for me pretty well but the large base+receiver had me going back to a cheap non-Jabra wired boom mic option when I'm working at home but away from my home desk (like when working at the dining table or couch). I think OP's Jabra is worth a try as an alternative to my cheap, away-from-desk option.
lol apparently my joke flew over everyone's head and I got downvoted to oblivion
