Jabra Evolve2 40 (the model above this) is great. It's wired, but the quality is so much better than any of the wireless headsets. Noise cancelling is great, the flip up/down to mute/unmute is great, and you'll get a lot of "Wow you sound good" comments on zoom calls. I don't know how the Evolve2 30 compares, but the 40 is awesome.
The one-earcup was a preference of mine for these, but YMMV as some prefer the dual-earcups. If you're just using it for talking/zoom calls, the 1 works great.
Jabra Evolve2 75 - A big step up in price, and wireless.. I like the fit of it, but the audio is pretty bad for dialog. Microphone is nice, but audio comes across tinny and compressed every time. Big step down from the Evolve2 40 in terms of voice quality, but improved in comfort. For MUSIC listening, it's great -- but once the microphone enables, quality goes way down.
Jabra Evolve2 85 - Another big step up in price, and wireless again. My favorite fit of them all, but the microphone is super annoying and terrible to use. If it's not angled right, people won't hear you at all. MUSIC sounds great, but once you turn to talking and the mic comes on, the quality dives again.
If you want a good microphone/headset for zoom calls or similar, the wired ones (like the one in OP, I assume) are great and so much better than the vast majority of $200 gaming headsets out there.

Evolve2 40 - 3 mics technology, best noise filter for mic to pick your voice.
Evolve2 30 - 2 mics technology, plenty good for mic. (this is a good review [amazon.com]
Evolve2 20 - single mic with noise cancelling chip. All right for normal office use.
Above are all wired version, often more solid than Bluetooth ones.
Woot is legit. As someone else pointed out, they are owned by Amazon now, and I've bought many things from them over many years (since long before the acquisition) and never had any complaints about the service.

I tried the suggestion of disabling Sidetone. You have to download/install the giant Jabra Direct software. (Side note, my firmware was already up to date with 1.7.0, I was hopeful that might fix it but nope). This gets rid of the buzzing in your own earpiece, but the buzz noise still remains on the receiving end of the call/recording. Basically it seems like the input from the microphone is defective and disabling the sidetone makes it so you don't hear your own junk noise.
There was a person in that reddit link that said they got a replacement and there wasn't an issue anymore, so I'm thinking there's just a relatively high number of defective units. I contacted Woot about a return/refund since this is junk to me without a proper microphone. Unfortunately the headset won't even really work well as plain headphones since it's a mono / single earpiece so I can't even really salvage any real use out of it.
