This happens every time this router gets posted lol. The Walmart one has less 2.5 gbps ports. It's a slightly different model.

This is a confusing product. I purchased mine at microcenter, it was contradicting in their information. Mine only has 2 2.5 ports?

I just got Ezee Fiber 5Gbps internet hooked up this weekend. I've had to replace my Orbi wifi 5 mesh setup since it caps at 800Mbps wifi speeds in the old tech. If I wanted to maximize my 5Gbps speeds with wifi, I am skipping the wifi 6 and 6e setups since the wifi would max at 2.4Gbps correct? However an Orbi wifi 7 unit is outrageously priced so it will be a while for prices to go down.

This Tp-Link model indicates it is Easymesh compatible, so if I buy 3 units, I can essentially create a pretty good fast and stable mesh network with it for about $750 (dropped to $250 btw) putting it cheaper than the other 3-unit kits available out there.

As of now, the Walmart one has all 2.5gbps ports. Hopefully they don't nerf it in future firmware. Best to get this version

I don't think that's correct. What is shown on the site is definitely not the BE550 version.

What would it take to benefit from a router like this? I have about 12 devices connected via Wifi currently and get occasional slow down. However, I don't think any of my devices support Wifi 7 or even Wifi 6E. Will I see any benefit to upgrading to something like this?

You need compatible devices to take advantage of the speed. Wifi 7 is VERY new and just starting to show up in products. You may get a little bump in speed over your current router, but you won't be taking advantage of the reasons you'd want to buy this.

not having wifi 7, but i want to know how many people actually can achieve the promised 1376–46,120 Mbps speed? even the low wend of 1376 Mbps?

heck, does anyone actually gets 6933 Mbps from wifi 5?

if you can only achieve that speed in an EMI shield anechoic chamber, and be placed 1 feet away from the antenna... does those number means anything?

you might as well spend money on a mesh system that you may actually see real life difference.
