Link for reference only. I purchased this Dishwasher on 4/3 based on a thread started here for the price of $848. I went in-store this morning and noticed that the price (In-Store Only) is now $749. I immediately went to CS and cancelled my order and re-ordered at the lower price. Attached a photo of the deal and looks to be good until 4/24.

I bought this last year. it's a weird dishwasher, my 10yr old one was better.
Seems made for plates, bowls don't fit right.
And the washer is finicky, you have to be careful to not block certain areas.
Doesn't clean as well as my old one either which is crazy. But it is quiet, can't tell its running unless right next to it.

Regret my purchase.
Inflation sucks, I bought a 800 series for $599 pre-pandemic
Seems hard to believe a ten year old model is better than this very highly rated model. I have this dishwasher and it's excellent.

Inflation does indeed suck and maybe you somehow got the deal of the century... but the MSRP for the Bosch 800 was only $150 cheaper ($1,149) in 2018, you can see for yourself right here: https://web.archive.org/web/20181...njZ1z10atb

I will never buy an LG dishwasher again. Per the agreement I made with LG when they did not replace the racks I will tell my story. LG is the only dishwasher I have ever owned that the racks rusted. They started rusting right after the 1st year. LG said there is nothing they could do except I could buy racks for $300-350 every 1.5 years or deal with the rust.

Instead of buying racks every year and a half I for 300 I am buying a different dishwasher most likely a Bosch.

the LG cleans great but the rusting racks (a known problem) make it too expensive to own.

What are the LG racks made of, cast iron?

Was it a 10 year old Bosch or another brand?

Many people coming from old dishwashers don't realize the new ones have sensors. People are so used to prewashing their dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and that doesn't work well for newer models. The instructions state to scrape the solid pieces off and place the dishes in the dishwasher dirty. The sensor then knows how long to run the cycle. If you prewash it cuts off the cycle early. I've not had an issue with dishes coming out clean with my Bosch 500. I have a friend that did and once he saw me load the dishwasher he was amazed that everything came out clean. He tried it on his and stopped having the issue with his.

I have a Bosch, bought last year because wife insisted. Because of stupid Bosch hype.

GOOD:
- quiet. That's it.

BAD:
- mediocre washing performance
- doesn't dry.
- the trays layout is garbage.
- the whole thing is superbendy flimsy plasticky, was very hard to install, kept bowing everywhere, has zero structural rigidity. We had to very gently, feather screw it, so it would close properly. Never had such a trouble installing a dishwasher.

We moved out of the house that has a Samsung. That thing was loud but washed and dry everything properly.

The noise is irrelevant unless you sleep in the kitchen.

Wouldn't buy again.
I have this exact WM. My experiences are 180 of yours.

ZERO issues with this machine. I use the feature where the door opens when done, that greatly aids in drying, and using resistance heating to dry is a tremendous waste of money IMHO.

We have 4 kids, so it gets used a lot, probably 3 or 4 cycles a week. Previously I used fryer boil out (basically "old school" detergent) but that is no longer being sold so we have been using a Finish (packet) product for a couple months. No issues with cleaning unless the unit isn't loaded properly, no DW will get dishes clean if it isn't loaded properly.

We used the unit for about 2 years, then moved, took it with us, and it's been in our new place for about 2 years now.

No it was like that. It's not a lemon. It's just structurally too soft. You screw one side in - it bends to that side and gets out of square. You screw the other - same. Same with top iirc. My appliance installer was about to lose it until he finally balanced it out. At some point I suggested aborting it and returning the POS to the store. He persisted (probably "installer's pride") and got it done.

I let it close itself, I don't have to push. Whenever it was out of balance/out of square it wouldn't latch. Once it got balanced that door would latch. It doesn't make a loud click but you do know when it's closed properly, it's kind of a dull "hoompt!". Again, it doesn't solid clear click of normal dishwasher, it has a limp/soft kind of click.

The only places you physically connect the DW to anything are to the countertop, and that's just in 2 places in the front top of the unit. The rest is just leveling feet/mechanism. If the install is going to bad that you're warping the unit, it seems to me your kitchen is messed up. If the counter isn't reasonably parallel to the floor and the opening reasonably square, that's not the dishwasher's fault.
