Link for reference only. I purchased this Dishwasher on 4/3 based on a thread started here for the price of $848. I went in-store this morning and noticed that the price (In-Store Only) is now $749. I immediately went to CS and cancelled my order and re-ordered at the lower price. Attached a photo of the deal and looks to be good until 4/24.

I bought this last year. it's a weird dishwasher, my 10yr old one was better.
Seems made for plates, bowls don't fit right.
And the washer is finicky, you have to be careful to not block certain areas.
Doesn't clean as well as my old one either which is crazy. But it is quiet, can't tell its running unless right next to it.

Regret my purchase.
Inflation sucks, I bought a 800 series for $599 pre-pandemic
Seems hard to believe a ten year old model is better than this very highly rated model. I have this dishwasher and it's excellent.

I don't remember tbh, it was a year ago. Definitely sides, maybe not the countertop (I changed a few houses in the past few years and remember a few installations, maybe got them mixed up),

Bosche repairman was at my house today. Dwasher less than 1 year old. Dishes not getting cleaned. Water needs to be supplied to the machine at 120 to get up high enough to clean. Very disappointed. Said the washer working fine, they just dont clean like they used to. Likely returing under warranty and getting something else. Wife annoyed as the boshe was quiet....but if it doesnt clean.

Try throwing some dishwasher gel or detergent on the back of the door right before you start the dishwasher. This will help with a proper prewash and should help with overall cleaning results.

I don't think it is the supplied water temperature that is your problem.
After 7 years of almost daily use (I have 4 kids) mine was acting up and not getting clean, due to clogged arteries. With a Bosch dishwasher the filter needs to be cleaned at least monthly. I took it apart and some of the internal hoses had sludge and were clogged. I cleaned everything out with a pipe cleaner and it all works like new. Very quiet.
Not sure which model you have but my hot water heater is set low due to kids in the house and my Bosch heats it up the incoming water to the right temperature to clean. How about using the "Sanitize" feature to bring up the dishwasher water temperature even further?

For it to not to clog again I put in a 2 inch strainer at the filter, which needs to be cleaned weekly but it gets the job done and works well not restricting the water circulation. It's the best dishwasher I have ever owned.

If your dishwasher repairman said it is the supplied water temperature he should have checked it with his diagnostic tools to check for any error codes and determine what the operating temperatures are inside your dishwasher. I doubt he did that since this excerpt is from the Bosch website:
"All Bosch Dishwashers have a flow through water heater. Bosch dishwashers' flow-through water heaters increase water temperature inside the appliances, eliminating the need to pump hot water into them. The heaters can raise water temperature as high as 162 degrees Fahrenheit."

I am with "arm&hammer" on this.

Although it's possible that it needs 120F water supply, I doubt it. They could conceivably have sized the internal coils for a max rise of 40F, so at 100F water coming in, the most you could get would be 140F.

The reason I doubt it is that there are lots of people who keep their water temperature low to prevent little kids and the elderly from scalding. In many day care centers and pre-schools this is a requirement. That would mean they would have complaints from a lot of people on this.

Also, the cost to allow the coils to increase a few more degrees is tiny and these are not low budget devices.

Unless you are inadvertently supplying water from the cold line (like at 55F which it couldn't heat enough), I would ask to see the minimum water temperature of 120F the the specs

120F is the minimum standard for all dishwashers to clean and more importantly sanitize. Yes, there's a heating element. But the idea is to get the water closer to operating temperature to ensure efficiency and better cycle time. All cycle times are based on 120F water supply. Rule of thumb is if your sink runs cold then hot, run the hot water from the sink until it is to temperature before starting your wash to ensure the dishwasher is running at the intended temperature. The most efficient way to do this is to prerinse dishes you feel the dishwasher can't handle, such as burnt food or extra dirty dishes

There is a water heating element is located at the water circulation pump. Yes, it's supposed to heat the water to a certain operating point. Yes, you could run cold water. But that would mean that the dishwasher requires more time to heat the water since there's a temperature sensor that triggers the washing cycle.
I understand. I didn't know that the newer dishwashers no longer had tub heating elements.

I am sure that thousands of deaths per year of innocent women and children were noted by the news, so we had to get rid of them.

So, if there is a water heating element in the pump line, and the cycle will not start until the proper water temperature is reached, wouldn't that be enough to get clean dishes if the incoming water temperature was a little lower than normal?

(Albeit at the expense of a longer time to wash the dishes).

If you're submitting the rebate online, don't go to boschappliancerebate.com, even though the rebate form will tell you to do so. (If you do, you'll be told that your product isn't eligible for the promotion after you enter all of the information required.)

I learned from calling their support line that for purchases made at Home Depot, you have to go to boschhomedepotrebates.com to submit the rebate online.

Hope that saves someone a little time and frustration.

We love how this one loads and even bought it again because of this when the first one bit the dust after only 3 years. If this one dies, going to Miele. We have Fiestaware and at least 3 different sizes of bowls we use all the time. These bowls fit nicely in different places in dishwasher. DH always jokes that there is more than one space for everything in this dishwasher.

What happened with the first one?

Where can I get or how to make this 2" strainer? Thx
