A metal S hook is also super functional, you can get a 20 pack for $6, and it would have a much higher weight limit.

What's the advantage of this one?

It's not an S hook. It's just a rubberized metal tie. Shaped like an S on the package. I've had these break on me. Though the rubber coating held, the metal inside snapped.

It's just a bendable paperclip with a rubberized coating. It's not worth $2.95/ea but more like $2.95 for 6.
