Got mine yesterday and after deploying it for the first time, I'm amazed how technology has evolved over my last roomba that was 4 years ago. This thing actually has great navigation and wastes no time going places that need cleaning and avoids wasting time in cleaned areas. Love it so far! Good amount to dirt in the bin despite our manual cleaning 1 day before.
Volume out of the box is very loud 60%+. Probably so you can hear the voice errors from afar.
Only the app allows changing volume so had to download that.
The first thing this dumb robot did was bump it's recharge station so I put it back. Came back and it bumped it out of place again.
Not sure if the laser on this is working since it bumps everything.
I set a 1 inch high strip to block off an area and the robot just bulldozed across the barrier.
Anyone else having problem with side brushes staying on? the Vacuum is great actually much better (picking up and navigation) then my much more expensive Samsung, but I've lost 2 side brushes after only 2 runs, they click in place and its not the most secure mechanism

Push them harder. I had the same issue but I hadn't pushed them on all the way.
Found out why this thing bumps everything even the charging base...
Straight from Eufy's reply to a negative review on Walmart: "Please understand that the hitting issue could not be avoided as the device doesn't supply a front vision obstacle avoidance camera."
My robot vacuum ignorance is showing since I thought laser / LIDAR = mapping and obstacle avoidance.
Ran the vacuum again today and it pushed the charging base again... At least it is smart enough to locate the out of place charging station.

Got mine yesterday as well and I had the same experience. Great navigation compared to the older Roomba and Eufy dumb vacuums I still run.
The LR20 is smart and it's amazing to see how it navigates directly back to its charger rather than bumping it's way back to the docking charger. Unbelievable deal at $90 after tax. It's the cheapest robot vacuum I bought and yet it's the best one yet.

I came here to say the same thing, the lidar, and room mapping is way better than I expected for the price. I'm upgrading from a shark IQ, that I got from a Slickdeals that cost 4x as much in 2019 dollars. It only had photo mapping and never could figure out how to clean a single room. I could care less about self emptying at this point, now that I can finally specify the dirtier rooms.
I keep getting a suction S4 error. Have tried cleaning it but to no avail. Sometimes if I gently push the unit along it won't error out and will do the clean. Very weird. Anyone else?

Not yet. Haven't had any issues with mine so far. Do you think maybe the flap on the collection bin is stuck? I feel like that could be a point of failure in the future
This product is from a Chinese company, anyone worry to disclose personal privacy, like TT?
no. what data are they gonna get? "Man this person is dirty, they ran the vacuum 3 times yesterday!"
That whole privacy thing was related to their cameras and didn't even result in a breach, just that the video data was stored on the cloud, contrary to what they stated. This is common practice for security cam companies, the difference here was that Anker had stated otherwise in their T's and C's
My problem with TikTok isn't regarding data theft, it's that I personally believe they are actively promoting the dumbest videos to encourage that behavior and dumb down the American youth. If you have an "algorithm" that promotes stupidity, and rewards it (like, literally rewards it with money), you will get more stupidity.
After watching this vacuum run for a few hours, some thoughts:
-this eufy is loud in standard mode (as compared to the deebot ozmo t8+)
-it doesn't seem to detect carpets quickly enough (it will spend a few seconds on the carpet before it snaps into higher suction. I didn't have this problem with the ozmo t8+)
Is there anyway to reduce the motor noise on this vacuum? I'd like it to be quieter and right now sounds like a small jet plane.
On the iOS app room map page, there's icon between "RoboVac" and setting icon on the top, anyone knows what that stands for?
Is there anyway to check battery percentage?

The box mine shipped in said manufacture date some time in 2022 so maybe that's why?
Either way I'm glad I got one for $83, should've bought a bunch to give as gifts to people.
