Walmart just reduced Verizon Samsung Galaxy S22+ 128GB - $199 ($5.53*36 months)

Its not monthly credits so please donot ask this question in comments.
You will be billed $5.53 per month for 36 months so you can pay $199 after 14 days and get your line free again. Phone will be unlocked automatically , once you activate the phone and make a call , even when you disconnect the line before 60 days
New and existing customer will be charged $35 activation fees.
Existing customer total - $199+ TAx + $35 upgrade feee
New customer ccan cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation fees. huge YMMV though . Make sure to pay off the phone before you cancel the line and make atleast one call or text to activate the phone.

Edit: Also, the S23+ has 256 GB of storage, while the S22+ in this deal has 128 GB.
Trying to get the schedule right. Does this work?
- Monday (Day 0) Buy phone on Walmart website.
- Wednesday (Day 2) Phone arrives with 2-day shipping.
- Wednesday (Day 2) Activate, make a phone call and text.
- Wednesday (Day 2) or Thursday (Day 3) Call Verizon support to cancel service.
- Wait at least 60 days. You can tweak out the phone during this time, trying to uninstall bloatware, setting up an SD card, etc...
- Punch IMEI into https://www.t-mobile.com/resource...-own-phone BYOD checker. It should say the phone is unlocked and good. (It should be unlocked automatically)
- Re-activate on any USA mobile network. I'll probably go with US Mobile (A MVNO for Verizon and T-Mobile).

But as someone mentioned before, you still have risk to be charged back by Verizon or the phone could be blacklisted by Verizon, or both.
Does MVNO (Tracfone) trigger the unlock for 60 days?
Final bill was $412. Called in and asked for activation fee to be waived. Final bill 376.69 + 33.66 tax = $410.35 for phone that will unlock in 60 days.
I don't think there's much difference between S22+ and S23+, other than ~10% longer battery life.

I'm happy with the S22+. It's my work phone so gets light use and some SM consumption. I can go a couple of days between charging.
Will Verizon 30 day trial work?
There are some cases where the the account wasn't setup by Walmart and the postpaid activation fails, and in that case, phone will only activate on Verizon prepaid.
