I understand this is not the typical $10/TB, $11/TB sort of deal. If you are looking for something like that, this deal is not for you.
For people who don't need that much space, for whatever reason, but need newer drives that are compatible with NAS systems (like Synology DS923+), I think this is a good deal - especially if they need 3 or 4 drives to fill their NAS system with compatible drives.
Yes... we can find used Ultrastar drives on eBay for $80 or so for 12TB... but are they compatible with your new NAS? So, please spare me from the per TB price.
