*The industry standard in this price point is NON-upgradable RAM. Not even worth asking 99.8% of the time unless it is a gaming, creator, or desktop replacement laptop.
Now, an adult question: where does the 'Ultra 5 125H' stack in tier compared to Intels other 73 lines of mobile processors? The Ultra series are a step up from your standard 'Core' SKU's, correct?
In other news, Lenovo is making RAM upgradable again in the latest ThinkPad T14, which is not a gaming/creator/"desktop replacement" laptop. I would not be surprised if Lenovo makes more models have replaceable RAM in the near future. Of course I haven't mentioned Framework yet.
Just because many laptops have 8GB soldered RAM does not mean it is acceptable or we should live with it and not even complain about it. It is exactly comments like yours that enable manufacturers (especially Apple) think it is ok to restrict user choices or repair options. It should be acknowledged that some manufacturers are starting to do things differently, and that is what we should look forward to.
But let me know when that ThinkPad T14 with OLED Touch screen and 16+ gb unsodered RAM is $549 or less at launch. I'll wait.
So the only downside of this is soldered 8GB and not expandable memory? That's a bummer. I have a dell Lattitude with 11th gen i7 and 8GB and that thing gets sluggish after a bit.

But yes, you can buy at BMW or a Ford F150...just not at Ford Fiesta prices. That's my point and I already explained that above.
What is it for ASUS? $10 extra worth of parts?

(Always funny when people try poke holes in the analogy because they cannot actually discuss the topic)
