About this Game:
A deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles, turning its inhabitants into zombies. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, uncover the truth behind the outbreak and discover who - or what - you are. Survive, evolve and become the ultimate Zombie Slayer.
Dead island 2, likes its predecessor, has campaign co-op, so get off your "nO oNe LiKeS SiNgLePlAyEr" soapbox.
Only crazy because Epic offers a ton of cash to developers in exchange for removing or not offering availability to competition, and many take the cash. I know the idea is to hurt Steam, but it really hurts all of the other storefronts.
I thought this was a fun and solid entry in the series. I'll likely bite on a GOTY edition down the line to get all the dlc for cheap when everything has been released.
Nope. Was epic games store exclusive for first year

Sad thing is the Epic Games store has never produced a profit (as of Nov 2023 at least).
If their game store isn't profitable for Epic overall is an entirely different story. One not always told (truthfully) by the public financials.

I very much enjoyed DI1, Riptide, the DLC, even Escape was fun-ish. But ditto regarding buying 2 until a GOTY comes out. I can wait a year or two more not to be nickeled and dimed on the DLC over the same period of time.

The gold edition is $32 which has the 2 main dlc. they don't plan on doing more.
Good thing I procrastinated in buying this, and didn't even realize it was an Epic exclusive all this time
Although I'm still not sure I'll be buying it even on Steam. The gameplay honestly looks kind of boring to me.
Add this to the long list of games (Dead Island 2, Callisto Protocol, Immortals of Aveum, Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2) that flopped in 2023. People just aren't interested in single-player-only games anymore, generally speaking with a few exceptions.
I was holding out for a low price to play on the Deck but was happy that it came to Gamepass. Honestly, it's okay but nothing to write home about. I played a few hours, got bored, so I'll probably uninstall.

Wait so you're claiming CP Phantom liberty was a flop, and then going on to claim people don't buy/play single player only games? 😂 😂

Yeah I was surprised too, I'm pretty sure it was an Epic exclusive for awhile though.
