I believe the the 13 pro max is one of the heaviest phones from Apple. 240g which is half a pound in American currency.

Just an FYI for those not in the know 80% battery health is the threshold where the phone starts giving a battery warning and reduces performance. IMO any iPhone with less then 85% battery health needs a replacement battery. I would not buy these "excellent" phones.
Assuming that Apple would accept this as a trade in at that time (might be a big if), that it's in good physical condition, and that trade in value goes down when a new phone comes out, would the potential trade in value be around $370? That's what Apple is offering for the 12 Pro Max right now
That's the best case scenario. $120 (plus tax) for a rental doesn't seem that bad. Talk me out of this

Yup. You're going to spend $500+ and then need to take the phone in for a new $100 battery in 2-3 months. But people rather spend more money on an older model with an old battery and complain about it cause that's super slick for them lol
