I recently fit four 18" tires in a Mazda 3 back seat just fine. Maybe the 4th was in the trunk?
Found a crazy deal on tire rack back then on last year production tires. Pro tip - check cash back shopping portals if shopping at tire rack. I got an extra $80 back a few months back by using one to buy from them. Might help someone else.
They're not that big. You can fit all 4 in a car. Just have to be strategic - back seats + trunk.

I don't think I've ever seen a Walmart that doesn't do tires, honestly.
Anyway, for online tires, I've used a variety of local shops. Midas has even been fine and one of the cheaper options, although I wouldn't trust them for much else. Not sure how big of a chain Mr. Tire is but there's a bunch of them here, and they're cheap an Tire Rack recommended.
you are correct. I did a search and there is a Walmart about 13 miles from me that does. Other than that, they are all around 35 miles or so or in NY or PA. I am in North Jersey
FYI: Submitting online rebate is a hassle requiring a lot of unnecessary info and like 7-8 different steps. The rebate is of course handled by a 3rd party and you must agree to a 3-4 page privacy disclosure which basically allows them to sell your info to anyone they want. This is required in order to have your rebate processed. Says rebate will take 8 weeks....we will see if that is true. One of the worst rebate processes I have run into.
Don't recommend cooper tire, I had these exact tires for 30k, and they wore out unevenly even though my car was perfectly aligned.
Alignment is only part of what affects tire wear. You must also factor driving habits and load placement. This is why tire rotation is important standard maintenance.
What's the XL variant am indicator of cause it seems to be a good fit for my Scion tC so far
I never thought of getting tires from Amazon before lmao was going to look at walmart for some reason brand for like $70 per
XL = extra load, for towing. These tires are heavier than normal tires as they're reinforced to reduce flexing when towing a trailer for example. I imagine they ride hard, but have never used one before.
I don't buy Cooper anymore, had one tire that separated and the rubber just doesn't have enough strength.
I agree, had a two year old Cooper tire and was starting to dry rot.
Thought it was a fluke bought 4 new touring Cooper tires and it wore out in less than 30k miles on a Honda Accord. Worst tires I've ever owned and I've had Firestone tires.
Then I put on the Michelin Defender on the same car without an alignment and got over 70k miles on the Michelins.
My experience with tires are that some people know how to make a tire and some don't
I like to use Walmart to install & balance tires. I usually do a long road trip once a year, if the tires need balance, I'm almost always within a fairly short ride tob a WM. Price to mount and *lifetime* balance is competitive.
Some locations have excellent shops with competent staff, and some are the very pit of automotive hell. Use your eyes, ears, and nose.
Getting and installing tires at Walmart is a gamble. I guess it is like the Sears Automotive shop of old.
True story: Went into Sears on a Saturday morning to get two tires (it was an emergency). I was the second customer in line when they opened. Got two Michelins. After 2 hours they had not even started. Went into the shop behind the glass to complain and of course they kicked me out but they did start putting on the two tires. From the glass I could see they had a problem installing the tires. Various mechanics worked on my car, went thru 3 mechanics, the manager and a 16 year old kid trying to put it on.one of the tires. They broke for lunch.... Another 2 hours later I went back into the shop to see why they couldn't install the second tire. I saw that there was a small 6 inch gash/cut all along bead of the tire which would not hold air. They were trying to install the damaged tire which they somehow cut and trying to set the bead for it to hold air. When I saw this I complained to the manager that they were trying to sell me a damaged tire he said he did not know how that happened and they did not have another tire to sell me. They all left working on my car so I asked the 16 year old kid if they had anymore of the Michelins in the back. He checked and they did. They were trying to pawn off the damaged tire on me. Spoke to the manager again and after a total of 5 hours I got the car back with 2 new tires. When I got home looked at my new tire and heard a slight hiss. The new valve they installed had a slight leak at the rim, probably because of all the (30+) times they tried to install the damaged tire. So, I never ever went back to Sears. I could see some Walmarts could be the same.

Yes, some places are full of scoundrels & fools.
Years ago, left my car at a PBoys for brakes. Mistake!
A hydraulic brake hose broke - mechanic dropped a caliper, tearing loose the hose. But, when I came to pick the car up, they tried to charge me ~$100 to replace the $8 hose they broke. A loud discussion, audible to other customers, convinced them do the right thing.
Corporate eventually shut-down retail there; that Shop does "fleet" services only. Illegitimi non carborundum[wikipedia.org]

You can install them yourself with a hammer 🔨 ,a chisel and an air compressor!
Now that's a slick deal!
can't vouch for these tires but irregular wear basically always has a cause that goes back to the car or the treatment of the tires.
if you ever have irregular wear on a tire - take it to a shop that can warranty that tire and ask for warranty replacement - they'll find the issue.
