Not sure about the narrator (can make or break an audiobook) but the actual book was great.

I strongly recommend this to anyone, especially for the price. This was my first Audible purchase so many years ago. Something like 300 books in my library now and I still remember this one fondly.

I love the way the narrator says "Spider" and "Fat Charlie".

I don't think you'd have an issue. Anansi plays a role in American Gods. This one not directly about him. I highly recommend American Gods. It's a wonderful read.
