Just what my mom wanted
The new 8pc insulated slim-tip blade driver set [homedepot.com] has ECX #2, and it's a pretty nice set. They may be discontinuing/clearing these ones out in favor of those blade/driver sets.

These are the older solid ones without swappable blades.. but they're still good screwdrivers.

I have a solar install to do soon, and this will help me be 10% less freaked out. Thanks.

Was interested but I'll probably never use the ECX which diminishes the value a lot for me as a homeowner/DIYer.

If you're working on outlets, the ECX is the best part of this set.

Really needs an ECX #2 bit, but otherwise good buy.

#1 is used for outlets and receptacles, don't think #2 is as common

Wth is ecx? Does it come in multi-bit sets? I have replaced outlets in past but now I feel I need this ecx thing.

The terminal screws on receptacles are sort of a combination of Roberson's, Phillips, and flathead. You should probably use a flathead to avoid cam out, but it can slide out still. Ecx combines them all to fit those things really well, so it prevents cam out and doesn't slide.out easily.

ECX is a screw/bit type that's often found in US AC electrical. You can put some good torque down on some breaker screws with ECX without having to worry about stripping/slipping.

The newer 8-in-1 blade set I linked above has robertson/SQ 1/2. Don't find myself using the SQ so much but it's not out of the question. I know ground lugs often use it.

You need to worry about voltage when you are discussing insulation resistance. Insulation resistance and breakdown is what keeps the current from flowing into your goodie bits.
