The new 8pc insulated slim-tip blade driver set [homedepot.com] has ECX #2, and it's a pretty nice set. They may be discontinuing/clearing these ones out in favor of those blade/driver sets.


These are the older solid ones without swappable blades.. but they're still good screwdrivers.

all my breaker screws are robertson. i even bought a new breaker at the same time i bought this set and the "ecx" was not a good fit. got a klein set from amazon for $20 and am very happy with it.

Depends on breaker brand/model. ECX works great with my Square D stuff - it's also present in a lot of electrical switches/receptacles.

I do know Siemens breakers uses the slotted+square drive though, where robertson would be preferred.

Even if you're not working with dangerously high AC/DC voltage, you still want to try to avoid shorting out low voltage DC electronics which a lot of people tend to work on energized.

ECX is what Milwaukee uses instead of Robertson. They both can be used for the outlet screws. For a breaker, you're getting into more specialized electrical work that most DIYers will hire a professional for, so it makes sense not to include it in a set like this.
