Just a heads up, it's too late to apply this if your soil temps have been above 55° for 5 consecutive days.
You'll be fine storing it in a dry place until ready to use next year. I always use multiple bags from previous years because I only buy when it's way cheaper off-season.

I always stock up this time of year for next year. No issues. Sometimes it clumps a bit but easy to break up. Although it says apply once I find it doesn't make it through the season. I apply 3 times now about 45 days apart and my lawn is thick, green and weed free the entire season.

It won't help prevent crabgrass at this point, but it will still fertilize perfectly fine.

too late for new England area?

You can use this stuff whenever, from april through september. You just wont get optimal use out of the crabgrass inhibitor. Ideally, you would have put this stuff down a in the first few weeks of april to inhibit crabgrass (right when soil temp averages hit 55 degrees). In northern new england, maybe that's where averages are currently. Google "syngenta greencast" and you can punch in your ZIP to see soil temps.

No. Buy a sprayer and use T-Zone on the wild violet in the fall when it's storing nutrients for the winter in the taproot. Good luck. it's an almost impossible battle.

It's almost time for Scott's Step 2 which has N-P-K: 28-0-3. This is similar to Step 1 which is N-P-K: 28-0-7, I'd say it's still good as a fertilizer compared to $40

I'm in Ohio, and I have been battling Common Violets for about three years now. Here is a link that has helped me:

https://greenthumbyardcare.com/common-violet/

Last year I ask Scotts about Violets and this is what they said:

"Once wild violets invade a lawn, they are difficult to manage. We recommend spot treating the wild violets as they emerge in the lawn with an approved selective weed killer. Multiple applications may be needed to control wild violets.

The best time to treat wild violets is in the spring when the plants are young. Applications after July 1 are generally not effective."

Expired already. This was for 5,000 sq ft, they do have the 15,000 sq ft on sale for $64.03 regularly $102. That's $10 more than 3 bags of the 5,000 would be, but still better than full price.
For those that are saying it's too late to use, the bag says "Protects all season" for what it's worth.

Was about to buy for next year but decided to check CCC first. Normally sells for $25 so not even half price, is it really worth it to store for next year for $7 / bag savings?
