Can it be dimmed? I want it for my small room studio. Also anyone know what would be required to power these from a battery? Could something like a Ryobi One Wall socket batter inverter do it?

No, it cannot be dimmed.

Might be able to use a variac or something similar to dim.

Example: Auto Transformer 2KVA 20Amp Automatic Voltage Regulator 110-Volt 60Hz Input 0 to 130V Output [homedepot.com]

Lol, may as well buy a purpose built dimmable light at that point...

The led housing is all plastic. It might be worth $45,not more though. Be better if it was a hybrid with battery power also. Will try it tonight on the 24x36 ft deck and decide then to keep or return.
This is incorrect, the heatsink on the back of the light is painted aluminum.

Why did you remove your comment "The Ridgid inverter might be in my future"?

It is rated 175W. Not enough to power the light?
Quote from Kuma1 :
Inverter rating is fine. Not certain how long a 4ah bat could power the light. decided to research. Any idea on that?
Quote from tomwil :
I have the same inverter, and was wondering the same. Guess I will find out for sure when I receive the light.

Using the formula: Watt Hours = Amp Hours ร— Voltage, it appears the 4Ah battery is 72Wh and will run the light about one hour, but that probably depends on the efficiency of the inverter.
Quote from toolio20 :
That ain't awful, tbh - really hope you post a follow-up and share your results.
With the Ridgid inverter and a fully charged 4Ah battery I got 41 minutes of runtime.

Nice test data, thanks. Makes sense given the efficiency of your inverter. Battery manufacturers lie about their Ah ratings too.

I have a 6ah bat also so maybe about an hour. I do have 2 4ah, 1 6ah and 2 ah. If I can put them all in parallel... hahaha

I got this and it is more than I expected. I thought I already comment on it, but don't remember.

The tripod is well made and heavy enough that this doesn't just fall over immediately.

My only gripe is the cord could have been double the length. That would have really need killer. I get it that I'm most likely using this with an extension cord any how.

Scratched some paint off and it does look like alu. That makes the price point of 44 even better. HD Husky 7000 tripod looks almost the same at $110. The Husky does have 3 year vs Hart 2 yr warranty.

Absolutely curious to hear your reasoning - is this just a general "all LED lights are a rip-off" position or the Hart lights, specifically?

Agreed that $110 ea for the Husky version seems overly dear, but considering overall prices in the age of orangemanflation these seem quite reasonable. Or are you just sh*tposting?
