I meant in general, not this deal link. Almost every time I click on the button to get the deal I see at least 3-5 redirects. If you don't look for them you won;t see them.
5800X3D YES PLEASE! Still one of the very top gaming processors. 5800X3D combo with a motherboard and ram or any other part to build a PC...NO. This top line chip is great to upgrade an existing AM4 system, but as a new build I'm afraid it would be a terrible mistake.
Just got the 5800X3D combo two weeks ago for $350.. contacted my local microcenter they are sending me a check for the difference with this new sale.. Still trying to sell my 3900X, and the bundled RAM and motherboard that came with it. I just popped the 5800X3D in to my ROG Strix X570 motherboard and recently got a 3080 for cheap. Decent upgrade without spending a fortune (around $500) that will last me a while.

I agree, if building new, get the 7700X or 7800X3D. But for me just wanting to upgrade my AM4 build, the 5800X3D is perfect and hopefully I can make some money back on the extra motherboard, RAM, and my old CPU (3900X).

My understanding is you can return the ram and motherboard later and keep the processor at the discount price.

I need to ask the store if I could return just the motherboard and RAM. But from what I've seen on a lot of threads, if buying in bundle they make you return everything. I also might build an extra machine with my old parts.. crazy that a 3900X and 2080 super are old parts now.
When I click the link, the tab immediately closes
Went and found the actual url: www.microcenter. com/product/5006636/amd-ryzen-7-5800x3d,-asus-tuf-gaming-b550-plus-wifi-ii-ddr4,-g-skill-ripjaws-v-16gb-ddr4-3200-kit,-computer-build-bundle
Seems like it's actually slickdeals adding weird redirects to links so I added a space in the url
Meh this deal would be better if it was tailored to more of an AM4 upgrade than a brand new system all together. Missed opportunity for microcenter to market this as a bundle for a new system when AM5 is similar price for better
I guess someone could use the cpu as an upgrade. And potentially motherboard upgrade, and sell their old hardware and the unused hardware. This could be a virtually paid for upgrade if someone was creative enough

You could view this bundle as an upgrade if you sell/replace your older hardware. Perhaps this motherboard is better than the one you have and you can sell it plus with your old cpu and gain back what you paid, then the upgrade becomes a really good deal at that point
