I have a very similar/identical one... works great for wfh. Note to get full brightness, you may have to connect two cables... one for video and one for power. Mine works with one cable but only at 50% brightness
I have this exact one and another one like it. I got this one for $34 on an Amazon Business deal last summer. I wouldn't have two if the second one wasn't so inexpensive.
I've used it to play my switch in my living room while my wife is watching TV.
I've used it at my kitchen table to do college work for night classes. I used it with my MacBook Air and it worked great, but the screen quality is more obvious next to the Mac screen.
I've created a custom mount and used it in the backseat of my car, along with an Apple TV tethered to my phone, to create an entertainment center for road trips.
This is a now a normal price for these portable monitors.

I also have this exact one from last summer. It works great as a second monitor for a laptop if you work on the go. One USB C cable to a more recent laptop is all you need to make it work. I also just finished taking it with me to 40 of our remote sites for my job to use as a monitor to hook up various servers/headless units. It worked so much better than hauling around an actual monitor. I bought a VGA -> HDMI adapter and then used a HDMI -> HDMI mini adapter to go to the monitor if the units didn't have USB C. I either get power from a battery pack or else USB power adapter that I also use to charge my laptop/battery pack. I have also used tablet clamp mounts to put this monitor in and clamp it to the side of various server racks or other things to use if there isn't a place to actually set the monitor down. They are quite handy.
With this one, the screen cover is screwed into the monitor so you don't have to worry about bumping it and the magnet letting go so the thing goes flying (which is how another one of these that I have works). Mine did come with a separate stick-on screen protector. I would also consider this case to be more study/protective of the other similar products I have purchased.

"1.36 lbs net weight and 0.35 inches thin, making it easy to carry, convenient and best for travel."
Are these durable enough when you throw them in the same backpack as your laptop with no buffer in-between?
I have this exact one. I've had a few work trips with it and it stays in my bag when going into the office a few times a week. I've only had it for a few months but it's held up pretty well thus far.
I have that exact one and its been great for my needs. I use it as a third monitor for when I have to go into the office. I simply just use it to always have my emails and calendar up.

These are garbage. Not even a year old and has a line.
Not sure why ppl downvote this guy. I have been doing some research on these kinds of portable monitor and my assumption is that they are all coming from the same manufacturer who produces the panel for other major brands as well (ie viewsonic, thinkpad). That's why all of these portable monitors seem to have the same look and view. If you read some of the Amazon reviews that people "updated" after using it for a few months, you will see a lot of them actually revised their reviews to one-star. That's why I am a little hesitant to pull the trigger.
And as someone has already mentioned, this price is about average for almost 3 months. I wonder if they are just trying to get rid of the inventory.

Why would you treat it that way? I have two portable displays, and first thing I did was buy a $6 sleeve that weighs maybe 3 oz. to protect it. Imo, your question implies a problem that has an obvious, effective, cheap solution.
I have this same one and use it as a fourth monitor next to my laptop. It works great for that. I've also used it to play Switch (the Switch can plug right into the screen via USB-C and doesn't need a dock).

Nope. Did that and it cracked the screen.

How would you power your Apple TV in your car?
What the heck is a built-in monitor screen?
If you look closely at just the pictures and ignore posted description, it is in fact a modern day CRT replacement...
What are you talking about?

Mine came with covers, as long as you're not literally throwing them around seem to be ok. I carry it around with my laptop in my backpack
