Got this last year for the same price with 10% cashback as well. Great soundbar, compared to the Q990D this does not have hdmi 2.1 support, dual rear stereo mode (if you have vizio soundbars you should know how this works) and another make to make voices louder in media. Besides that the specifications and dimensions of the soundbar, subwoofer are exactly the same.

If you have a Samsung TV from the past 2-3 years the soundbar will work along with the TV speakers to give you even more immersion.

Cons would be the inability to get full control over each channel, you cannot fully mute the center channel for example, atmos effects are quite weak even if you the largest satellite speaker stand, putting your streaming stick straight into the soundbar for direct audio pass through will give you a black screen for a second or two before playing.

If you already have Q700B paired with rear speakers (swa-9500s), don't bother upgrading. I returned mine and kept q700b. Almost no difference. I got swa-9500s from BB for $100 local pickup deal a while back.

An additional feature for 990D not present in 990C is 990D has Roon compatibility.

Samsung are also known for doing software tweaking that improves sound quality from one generation to the next. I don't have 990D but someone posted in another forum "I have both the q990c and q990d.....both soundbars seem to have almost identical hardware, but q990d sounds much more immersive."

I got this last time it was on sale. MUCH BETTER than sonos arc, sub, and rears. Atmos sounds good. Alexa is compatible and is much more user friendly than the sonos. I had the sonos setup before this setup. I will say that it is not as good at playing music than the sonos is.

Great deal for a great setup.
