It's the same camera, same screen, just new M2 chip. Ipads cannot push the M chips since they'll need to throttle on heavy tasks. Save the 150 if you can.
The camera is now on the landscape side so it's centered when doing video conferencing in landscape mode.
Although apple did give $100-200 gift card past few years but no one can provide a formal assurance now !

Yep. I've bought a few and then gotten rid of them. My iPhone and MacBook Air combo doesn't need the addition of an iPad. When traveling I usually leave the MacBook at home and just use my iPhone for everything and toss a $150 Amazon Fire tablet in for watching video on the plane.

I have a laptop too, but the iPad is more portable, so I use it when a laptop isn't as feasible.
A lot of casual iPad users are either exaggerating their concern or simply don't know the trick to keep their iPad being fresh.

I agree. Just bought one. My M1 MacBook is blazing fast, can't imagine needing the M2.
