This is the best sale for stainless cookware, but I would not recommend all All-Clad products. Because the sale comes around frequently, I created this sticky FAQ/discussion on the product forum covering all the questions that come up with this sale -- about the sale, about the different All-Clad lines, etc. Check it out.

(I need to update it to include All-Clad's new enameled cast iron line)
I don't think it's that he doesn't recommend All Clad, it's that he doesn't recommend ALL All Clad products.

i have a huge selection of the copper core stuff. i've used this site a few times to extend the collection in to both copper core and other ancillary pieces that dont necessarily come in that collection and i've had no issues. it's hilarious getting a piece for $200+ off sticker for "packaging damage" - even "seconds" have come in perfect.

That second for the 12" fry pan with lid takes you to second quality item. Is it supposed to be doing that? Does anyone have experience with their second quality stuff?

Yes.
II recommend reading the FAQ linked above.

Many SDers have furnished our kitchens on All-Clad seconds.

Have to replace my Circulon but can't decide on something like this or go non stick and another Circulon or something of that ilk (suggestions comments concerns)

I recommend reading the FAQ linked above. My recommendation is never to buy a nonstick set. One skillet, sure, for certain things, but an inexpensive one with a plan to throw it out every couple of years.

It took me many years to really understand how to clean cast iron and stainless steel.

In some ways, cast iron (or carbon steel which works the same) is the easiest. Once it's been seasoned, you don't really need to do much to clean it at all. I will add a little water to the pan while it's still on the heat, and use a good chain mail scrubber with a pair of tongs to loosen any bits that might be stuck, then I dry the pan and that's it. But yes, you have to thoroughly dry it by hand.

Stainless steel can be handled similarly. If anything is stuck to it, you can put some water in the pan and heat it up and scrape it up like you're making a sauce. Then you can wash it with soap and leave it to dry. If you get any discoloration, a little Bar Keepers Friend with a paper towel takes care of that.

If you want to just throw your pans in the dishwasher, then you can do that with stainless steel as well, but if you want them to last a long time, then you would want to spring for one of the expensive brands that has sealed edges. Brands like all-clad, where the middle aluminum core is exposed at the edge, shouldn't really go in the dishwasher. Harsh dishwasher detergents will deteriorate the exposed aluminum over time.

WTF is wrong with their website? Tried multiple browsers and can't complete checkout because it either gets stuck with a loading circle or the text isn't displayed correctly.

Anyone received their orders or gotten tracking updates? Got the shipping notice through UPS but after a week there's been no change other than that UPS received the label request.

Their seconds are better than most others' first quality. I have outfitted 3 kitchens from their semi-annual 2nds sales (mostly from the physical location sale, but some from the online sales, as well).

I've never had an issue with any of it.

Any of the 'non-clad' stuff is made in China, but the rest is made here in the US.
