Do yourself a favor and get it from Walmart on sale. $12 for a 3 year warranty so you can exchange it anytime you want (and stick drift sets in quick with my death grip). Highly recommend.

I've had two series 1 controllers and two series 2 controllers. All failed eventually in some way. The last one I had bought from Costco and they kindly gave me all my money back when Microsoft refused to do anything at the thirteen month mark. I bought a DualSense Edge instead and that's been working great for about fifteen months now. If you buy this controller, I highly recommend an extended warranty with it.

Everytime these deals come up I mention if anyone is getting this you better get a warranty. Something on it WILL break at some point. The controller is such a a great feeling control and I love the paddles but buttons will become unresponsive. My RB button only works 50% of the time and I mapped it to a back paddle for the last 2 years

Honest question - is it that much better then a standard controller? I've put a lot of hours into Hades, might be worth an upgrade with Hades II coming out soonish.
For Hades, probably not. Honestly I'd be nervous about all the wear and tear that game would do to it lol.

These controllers are made primarily for FPS games. The big difference being that the back paddles are excellent for mapping face buttons.

It could theoretically make the game easier to play by putting dash on a paddle or something but nothing too big for the price of the controller.

Does anyone know if I can get a price match anywhere else that offers a warranty?
You can add the warranty through Microsoft after purchase.

I'd love to get BB to price match this so I can get the 2-year membership warranty, but Verizon isn't one of their qualified competitors and they won't do a price match.

I'm debating whether to price match with Amazon @ $150 to get a 2-year warranty or pay $108 at Verizon and only have the 1-year. Given the fact that this will be my third or fourth controller at this point (literally losing track, always have issues after the warranty ends with the sticks or bumpers dying) I'm wondering if it's worth an extra $40 for that warranty peace of mind.

EDIT: Another option would be to price match the black and white controller which is on sale for $115 at Target. It doesn't come with extra controller sticks etc., but I already have all those from my current one, and I could get BB to honor this and then I'd get a 2-year warranty. I just really prefer the all-black. Frown

First world problems. If anyone has suggestions or advice on what they'd do please let me know!
You can buy it here for this price then add the warranty direct through Microsoft.

Again, where? You aren't helpful and your attempt of being a smart ass is of the same level of a five year old.

Amazon themselves don't price match, but many will price match Amazon, I.e. dell, target or best buy

At the time of writing, there's no official announcement for an Xbox Elite Series 3 controller by Microsoft. However, as Xbox routinely refreshes controllers and peripherals for its machines, we should expect a successor in the next couple of years, likely to coincide with the next-generation Xbox console.

FYI, the elite controllers have a 1 year warranty, and since it's a 1 year warranty, many credit cards extend the warranty an additional year.

Last I checked they only offered 2 years... My back paddles stop working at 1.1 years. I'm on my 4-5th elite... Of which I'm on my second elite2. Once you program your brain to use them you can never go back.
YMMV I've hade one for 4 years with no issues, but I'm an adult that only games 10-12 hours a week.
