Does best buy credit go against the amount you need to spend? As in I have a $5 credit on my account, would that mean a $200 item counts as $195?

Rewards deduct from the price of the items purchased so you would need more than $205 subtotal before $5reward is applied. Also rewards can NOT be used for gift cards.
Ditto. One year I think I spent over $10k. Then they changed rewards, don't think I spent a dime since.
appliances just have additional discount. But they end up that price EVENTUALLY.
Then apple stuff comes with 1 year apple care+. Going to use it on a new ipad pro if the lady needs it. Or next iPhone in October.
Besides that, just the extended warranty which i hope to not need for the year. So yes, you aren't losing much if you don't get it. Just a use case scenario.

Same here. ID get my job to buy so much from that place. Printer, TVs, software... haven't been back since they stopped it.
A lot of people do. Myself included. Especially if you purchase Apple Products from Best Buy as they include AppleCare in their top tier plan. In my case, the price of the annual membership ($179.99) is a steal when you consider that my iPhone, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, HomePod Mini, and 2 Apple TV 4K units are all covered by Apple Care and would normally cost way more than the price of the membership for 2 years. It's a no brainer.
