the price it should've been from the start
I don't want to buy any switch game that isn't fully on the cart. It's honestly straight bullshit.
At this point I can't even justify this price. I'd rather just emulate them on the SD.

As anal as I am with collecting switch games, at least the games are on the cart after the initial download. The ones that are awful are codes in the box/one game is on the cart then the rest are redeemable via code. Assassin Creed is very guilty of this on Switch. While it isn't a deal breaker for me at $20, I guess I don't understand how they couldn't put 4 baby sized games on one cart.

Not entirely on the cartridge? What do these games amount to in size? 512 kilobyte?

I wouldn't buy this second hand, because most of the games and content must be downloaded. Only NES stuff comes on the cartridge.

No code required, just needs to have the cart in the system to download and play.

Konami was probably just cheaping out on Nintendo's fees and went with a smaller cartridge.

Also nothing downloads to the cartridge. It's all on the SD card but you need the cartridge to verify you own the game. In a sense it's somewhat worse that the download code option as you still need the cartridge despite having the entire game on the system.

I have seen several posts that state this runs horribly on the switch, I wouldn't spend more than $10 for it on switch, and only digital if I did (because I wouldn't want to be locked to needing a cart if I got it, since you have to download the larger titles anyway)

It's runs perfectly fine on the switch not docked and undocked. Haven't had any problems at all in the month I've had it. Having all these portable is well worth $20. Great trilogy.

Not worth it if they are not remakes.

If theyre the HD versions, theyre something like 14GBs each. Which is why the PS3 legacy collection couldnt fit MGS1 on the bluray.

The remake for MGS3 isn't out yet, there is no remake of MGS2, and the remake of MGS1 is inferior to the original. So no, not even close.

Tried to price match through BestBuy online chat. was denied. saying they don't price match Target Daily Deals.
Even after pointing out that it's not a daily deal that it expires May 25th. They wouldn't budge. Was hoping to get an Xbox copy for myself and a PS5 copy for a cousin of mine who loves Metal Gear.
Already went to Amazon and submitted found item at a lower price. Hoping they would match it. But price hasn't changed.

Don't think Brickseek is that reliable but looks like no store has PS5 or Xbox in stock near me in So Cal. Wonder if it was even in stock before the deal went live or did it sell out that fast. Amazon has it for $25 via Woot so hopefully it'll drop to $20 or less eventually

If you have a Xbox one or higher, the 360 version will play on those systems usually with upgraded fidelity. I play my 360 disc on Series and it plays great. That being said I may get the switch version at $20.
I don't! But this is good to know if I ever upgrade.

Nintendo Switch cart includes the following games only:

- Metal Gear (MSX)
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear (NES)
- Snake's Revenge

That means Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 must be downloaded. The back of the Nintendo Switch box confirms the game requires a download of at least 32GB, and a microSD card is required.
100% agree...

I tried to find but couldn't find the answer anywhere... Does anyone know if all of the data for the games is on the game disc for Xbox? What about PlayStation.

Metal Gear Solid 1 is on my cart. Couldn't play 2 or 3 without connecting and downloading.
