Just wanted to add while this is the best deal so far for trading in S8 Ultra, the difference between the two is minimal.

The main change is the chipset which is more efficient so you are potentially looking at slightly better battery life but most other things are very minor. One benefit of this "upgrade" is that you get a fresh 1 year warranty. Now, whether $200 is enough to justify the improved processing and battery along with a new 1-year warranty is up to you.

For me, it is not worth it.

I upgraded from s8u to s9u in November (trade-in was $700 then). I should have just kept the 8... I've seen no meaningful benefit to the upgrade. Also, battery life is down significantly... same usage patterns with both units. S8u would run for 2-2.5 days between charges. S9 barely lasts a day (usually down to 18-20% by night).

I agree, but also the fact that this does not include the keyboard case like the S8 Ultra did when I purchased it is another factor for me as well.

Wow, those taxes are a real bummer! The $90.xx sales tax adds a significant amount to the cost of the item. I was going to pull the trigger, but the additional cost is a deterrent.

I had the option to add the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic for $128. Even if you don't need the watch you could easily turn around and sell it for $220+.

Cost me $348 for the Tab and Watch after taxes with S8 Ultra trade.

best offer yet afaik, but i still think they'll get better near the end of the year as we get closer to Tab S10 (likely Spring 2025).

[edit] waiting to pull the trigger at $200 for a S8+ to S9U, which is in line with previous "slick" trade-ins historically.

confirmed the lower cost (817.49 government) is only showing on app.. but can't get s8u to trade in.

2. S9 Ultra 12GB/512GB with Military discount is $892.49 before trade-in.
3. S9 Ultra 16GB/1TB with Military discount is $1,064.99 before trade-in.

If I trade in my S6 Lite ($300) + Military Discount ($197.50) + Instant Savings ($110.00) = $592.49 before tax.
