I have this monitor and I'll say two things - it's big. Like really big, so make sure you have space for it, and the second is that the out of the box colors are awful. You can download a profile from Rtings and do some searching for calibration videos on YouTube. With minor calibrating, it's amazing, but I was really disappointed at first.

Yes, input lag isn't good and picture choppy for anything fast paced, which isn't what you expect from a 144hz monitor. I bought the last deal and ended up returning it because of this. If you want this more for gaming, don't get it, if you want it for productivity, this is a good deal.

Bought this the last time it came up for sale, I was pleasantly surprised there was a firmware that had literally just released that fixed all the software issues (connection issues) people described. Windows ran it perfect first boot. Mac required some hackery to run it 4k 144hz but it works and is great.

Honestly though, this should have been curved. I came from an old 60hz 43" curved samsung panel and moving to this was.... Visually difficult. I still feel like the edges are bending away from me regardless of where I sit. It's a great monitor overall, the colors are amazing if you set it up correctly and while the backs aren't quite OLED level, I never notice them on this screen. They are black, not Grey like so many other panels regardless of how bright I have it.

I did have to turn off local dimming as I was getting odd strobing effects. As said, tuning it is required but it gives a great picture after that.

As others have said, this is a fantastic productivity monitor, and a decent gaming monitor.

Still waiting on mine to ship. In the meantime, it looks like there is an older model number of this, I wonder if they did a refresh to address some of the issues?

The old model number is LS43CG700NNXZA, the model in this deal is LS43CG702NNXZA.

This monitor has 4.1/5 star rating on Samsung's site which is pretty good, and when you scroll down the page to see the reviews you see all these low score reviews at the top. I guess Samsung gets credit for not trying to hide bad reviews.

I got mine yesterday, and definitely think I underestimated how freaking huge this thing is. I'm used to using 27" monitors that aren't curved and 34" ultrawide monitors that ARE curved, and I've never had a significant preference or thought it mattered much, but I have to say, with something this large - especially sitting like 2 feet from it as I am, I really think it needs to be curved. The edges really seem to be significantly further away than the middle (because they are). As another posted said, it really does feel like the edges are running away from you. I'm not sure how practical this really is. I'll try it out with different things over the next week or so, but after wanting something bigger (and specifically taller) than my 34" 1440 ultrawide, I think this may just be too damn much. For my use case at least, I'm thinking a 32" 16:9 @ 4K might be the sweet spot.
