This years Ryobi Days seemed like a bit of a dissapointment until today. IMO, DTO has really been sad as well.
$144.00 with last day available $15.00 off promo code they emailed me on June 3rd.

j I bought the Ryobi one and returned it. The soft roller didn't seem to work well, it was pretty heavy with the 2Ah batteries, and the attaching part was a bit tight, requiring some force to replace tools. I ended up returning it and paying an extra $100 for the Dyson 10. I couldn't be happier
Note: suction is powerful as it is brushless motor

That's good feedback, thanks. Seems the Dyson is a "replace every 5 years" type tool. I completely took my hard floor tool apart (dozens of parts, I'm a mechanical engineer and would think many people couldn't DIY), cleaned and lubed, and it locked up again days later. Could be bad bearings or motor I'm assuming. We also had to send our whole power head in for a new battery. Was hoping there was a better alternative :-).

Did ryobi improve on their vacuums in the past 5 years? I bought the high end ryobi handheld vac back then and it does a horrible job. It uses a silt screen and a paper filter but the silt screen often gets clogged up within the first minute or two of vacuuming my car.

The shark vacs I had used a bag filter which was always superior compared to the silt screen and paper filter used in ryobi and black and decker vacs. I even got the ryobi wet dry vac and it doesn't vacuum water out of seats and cushions. Sort of defeats the purpose of it.

I think Dyson handheld vacs are decently reliable and the replacement parts are so widely available all over ebay and can be repaired on a budget.

The only bad thing is the batteries which dont balance charge and the bms on the battery pack will permanently disable the pack once it goes more than 300mv out of balance on any of the battery cells. That bms board is a nightmare since you can't easily replace the cells without connecting it in parallel with another pack that's similarly charged. Work around would be buying an aftermarket pack (will have garbage battery cells) and upgrading the cells with quality cells. The new replacement packs direct from Dyson also have trash cells, just slightly better than aftermarket packs.

Really? What happens when a 4ah battery gets down to half charge, the nailer just loses power and can't drive in nails all the way?

I tried to not do so to embarrass myself, so I selected to pick up the batteries and brad nailer in two different HD, then returned the batteries to the store where I picked up the nailer.

Vacuum showed available for delivery same day even though the "deal" showed sold out. Added it to cart and then added the batteries and it applied the promo. $180 same day delivery after tax.
