I won't be going back to Samsung anytime soon.
OnePllus 12r - 3 years of updates
Samsung S24 Ultra - 7 years of updates
Google Pixel - 7 years of updates
I know Google Play can continue to patch same security issues but it cannot get everything. So I also factor in cost per year of updates and OnePlus falls behind. Of course phones get passed around in our family and are used until they become security risks, we would keep a phone for 7 years.

Based on the review, the chip does some type of postprocessing so it can render games natively at 40fps but display it at 120fps so you end up using less battery life than S24U rendering at 60fps natively and get higher frame rate. This is why I said it's a deal breaker to gamers for Samsung to not have this chip in their flagship S24U

Other phones have this chip but you don't want the other phones like the OnePlus Ace 3 because it's not a US/Global version so their rom image contains spyware for the government to spy on their citizens. And the China version of OP12 also don't have all the bands from US carriers. OP12 US/Global version is the only phone with this chip, no spyware and with all bands for US carriers, that's why when people say the OP12 is cheaper on their .cn website, they are saving pennies to buy spyware phones and lose some US bands which is a big mistake.
In terms of support, this is not something that oneplus has to do. It's Pixelworks and mobile game developers. oneplus probably just need to have the driver/software on their rom image which is easy to do.
