No it's not. you can still hardwire it. I have one connected to the corner of my garage(power connected to the garage door opener outlet)so I don't have to deal with charging.

No, it doesn't; that's why it's called a SoloCam. However, it is compatible with HomeBase 3.

I dont know if i should jump for another Eufy cam deals. I bought S340 last month and had to return it. It barely catches anything at night, and one stupid thing is that if someone approaching the cam in a vertical direction then the cam can't detect anything. I have tested that so many times and turns out the sensor mechanism kinda works in a horizontal movement detection, which seems so weird.

Once the battery is dead you have to throw it away.

Thanks, just picked up a 4-pack to give it a try! Been using Arlo for 10+ years and I like the performance, especially with motion detection, but their recent switch to subscription model forced me to explore alternatives. Solar-powered is a nice bonus (if works)! Reviews are mixed on motion detection, so I will be putting that to the test.

For those asking if Homebase is required, here is your answer (from Amazon)...

It can connect directly to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi without a HomeBase, but connecting to a HomeBase 3 allows for additional features like AI facial recognition.
Some customers who connected directly to Wi-Fi reported issues like delayed notifications and laggy live view. Others preferred the direct connection to avoid the need for a HomeBase.
Based on 10 relevant reviews, 6 preferred connecting directly to Wi-Fi for its simplicity while 4 recommended using a HomeBase 3 for better performance and additional features.

This is the same price during Prime Day. I have two, its not needed but wondering if I should go for the homebase or not. Side note, during that time on Eufy website they had a stacking coupon with the discount allowing you to buy 4 pack for about $150(?)

Does Eufy not sell the EufyCam3 (S330) individually? I already have the homebase with four cameras, but I'd love to buy one or two more cameras for complete coverage. I'd rather have all the cameras be the same rather than have four 4k cameras and two 2k cameras.

what is the wifi range?
I can get a good signal across the street, approx 55' thru the living room and front windows, clear line of sight to the ASUS router and still use the live view function. But thru the house (post-war concrete and lathe walls) I can only get about 30' to the back door.

I am gradually switching all my cameras to Eufy, they have been great for the past 5 years. No subscription and large local storage, good quality and good software

The microphone is so bad that I am looking for another camera. Good luck making out what anyone is saying. If only it had subtitles.

It doesnt last. The solar panel flakes out after 2 years and ends up unusable.

Anyone know if this is Frigate compatible? I assume it is since it can be integrated with home assistant.

Mine cannot maintain wifi connection without home base even with the router 6 ft away, ended up getting a home base and then it has stayed connected. I would say home base is a must.

I had one, was great but the summer in Florida and then a bad rainstorm at 13 months did it in. Had a leak, just outside warranty. I like eufy but this was rough
Very similar experience. I have had 2 of these over the past 18 months, both of which last around 9 months each. Eufy wouldn't do anything the second time around. I generally love Eufy, but these cameras definitely have limitations and I was significantly disappointed with their customer service.

This has been my experience as well.
