Not even Walmart themselves is an authorized reseller of Olaplex so it is safe to say this is fake Chinese product without the patented ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. Even Costco got into trouble a few years ago for selling counterfeit Olaplex.
Only buy legit Olaplex from Sephora or Ulta. Or directly from the Olaplex website. They run specials all the time.

Make sure to buy from WM retailer, not a reseller, to ensure it's the actual untouched product.
As for WM not being an authorized seller, you are correct, but WM sells MANY brands they are not authorized resellers of. It's called 'Product Diversion'. WM is simply getting them from a different authorized reseller and then putting them in the stores. Again, this happens with many many brands and products. It's very common.
It's the same reason you can find Olaplex at places like CVS, Rite Aid, Target, etc. All not authorized resellers as well, but still sell Olaplex.
