I tried to cancel the watch but it showed the retail value of $280 and I had to chat with an associate who was able to cancel the watch for a net cost of $320 for the phone.

(Edit) Okay, it's refreshed, but with the black watch instead of the silver. I guess they ran out of the silver?
(Edit x2) I tried to do what the people above tried, ordering both and then asking customer service to return just the watch and keep the phone, but the rep told me that the two items had to be bought together, and if I returned one then the phone would be $499. I'm going to try it again in the morning, see if I get a different rep that will give me a different result; wish me luck!
If you buy from Google directly it's only Android and whatever starter Google apps. Of which you can remove most of the Google ones anyways.
I've never received any bloatware on Pixels directly from Google. With the exception of a custom side load, it's about as clean of an OS experience as you can get.
There were many google apps that I could remove/deactivate on prior phones that can no longer be removed. At a Google I/O dev conference years ago, I was shocked at how invasive they were getting. I walked out at the break and immediately disabled Google photos; I can't even do that now.
I'm also a minimalist with apps now, and don't use most of what they offer. Phones are tools to me, no more.
