Here is what I don't understand about these things. You are putting them in a light fixture where there is supposed to be a light bulb. But these don't provide light like a light bulb. So you can't have them in places where you need light? But why was there a fixture there then?

Be careful with these, they are super easy to backdoor hack and I've done net traces where a couple models of this type of camera were 'phoning home' information.

Could always put a 2 way splitter and add a bulb. Where I use it is redundant lighting so it wasn't a big deal to lose the light. The other 2 I have in a different house are screwed into a table lamp base and plugged into a wall.
They work pretty good For what they are.
I have a house where I need to worry about freezing temps. I go to the camera and look on the wall where I have a large thermometer on the wall

I need this type of camera with a micro SD slot. I don't do the cloud . I bought some for my son that are great, but Amazon doesn't have them anymore.

Only allows for 1 discount not both. Am I missing something?

I can confirm that it does work for 220V as well. I got the product with me and the marked rating on it is both 110 and 220.

Click the one built in 30% and then when you go to check out it should be 60$ and you enter code EFJOPGSI

You do have a bit of a point here.
HOWEVER...

There needs to be SOME way to power these, and a light fixture socket is one common way, the other just a regular outlet, which is provided via adapter.

This doesn't mean you can necessarily just take out any bulb and put one of these in. On the other hand, often a place where a light bulb lights up a large area is a good place to put one of these.

One could just buy a socket base (E26 medium base etc), put it where you want it, and connect a wire.

I run a business from my garage...so multiple light fixtures - I love the idea of using one of these!

Slow to connect. Not a lot of delay but does have some. Sometimes even stop connecting for a small while.
