And we really like it! If I'd known these things were so cheap yet convenient, I would've gotten one long ago, even without a discount.
Good for so much more than just security. It's nice not having to answer the door for salespeople/religious door knockers, etc. It lights up if it detects human movement at night. Light isn't super bright, but bright enough to light up our porch. The app has lots of neat options and features like taking a picture of anyone that shows up at your door (so even if someone were to simply take the camera, you'll have a picture of them on the app, and this cost nothing extra), getting to talk to anyone at your door, moving the camera, etc.
this product actually prompted me to pull the trigger the other week and finally replace our flood light on the other side of the house…and i chose the $50 (was on sale on amazon) wyze flood light camera…and surprisingly enough, i like this one slightly more. Imo it's definitely a better value for the price for the ability to move the camera through the app alone, despite its slightly inferior picture quality to the Wyze flood light cam.
We haven't opted into the paid services (think they're as little as like $3/month for both Wyze or laview) but for those who would want cloud recording or some other extra features, seems affordable enough to sign up for that. (They both also take micro SD cards) We just don't see it as needed, with everything that they do without the memberships.
con: both cameras have a slight lag….id say one second.
TLDR: If you don't have cameras on your property already (or want an indoor cam), I say this product is a great start, easy set up, etc. Even if you live in a safe neighborhood, better to be safe than sorry, and it's useful in more ways. Can't speak for longevity, as it's only been like a month or two, but I think it's a really good product for the price.
Hope this helps someone.

Hope they work as good or better than the Wyze cams I have inside a window & door now, there's a ceiling socket in my carport this should be perfect for.

FYI be careful when installing it. I broke the metal bulb screw while twisting because the camera is too heavy and it's easy to over screw it.
I then changed the whole light fixture and this camera still won't work. But it does work on all of my table lamps

There are firmware updates that can be made, but you have to contact customer service and they push it to you.
I certainly wouldn't pay anymore for this than the current deal.

Dont underrstand why people are praising how easy it is to install, you are screwing a bulb in and how hard can that be?
reasons i returned - the motion/human detection needs a lot of improvement regardless of how much you play with the sensitivity of the camera. Also, the bulb wouldnt reset/return to its original position post detection.
