We have two of these- great monitors for work and gaming. I also use DisplayPort for gaming and HDMI for work like a previous commenter. It auto switches sources.

I've plugged an Apple TV 4K into the 2nd HDMI port. It accepts 4K24 and 4K60 signals and does an excellent downscaling job.

Does anyone know what the curve of this is?? Kind of looking 1800R to me but I can't find the spec, even on LG's website.

Man wish I saw this earlier but I hopped on the Dell S3422DWG for Prime Day for $280. Would of been nice to have the G-Sync but at least all my monitors match in looks
I was going to keep the dell as this one is prone to dead pixels from the reviews i read, but reading most of these comments have helped me see the light, the dell is going back and i ordered this one ... Almost oos as my one is taking 5 days to get to me

in the market for another LG 34 wide screen monitor matter of fact.
I bought the $200 LG 34 ultra wide non IPS monitor at Walmart last week and return it immediately.
I currently have LG 34 ultra wide curve with USB C IPS but refresh rate is only 100 hz. I also have a Samsung C32HG70QQM for gaming. For work I rotate it vertical for coding.
Not sure what going on but both monitor has a different in color between Mac OS & Window.
There is a noticeable difference in level of Black between IPS & VA on my M1 MacBook Pro
On Window machine with max out spec with 3090TI I don't notice that much of difference in level of Black and Brightness were similar too.
I am not sure if it's Apple M1 GPU, Samsung Monitor,
LG makes good monitor. I had a LG Google G2 TV that lasted 12+ years before . The backlit module died.
With that being said, I wish this have a USB C connection. So I can charge and run my MacBook on it.
Well at least Walmart has awesome return policy.
Hopefully this monitor will match.

Would I like this over a 60Hz Dell Ultrasharp 34" for gaming? Wondering if I am missing out by not having a higher refresh rate.

I don't game. I currently use a 27" Dell U2717D which is 2k but been looking to upgrade. Is this monitor good for my usecase of just programming, web browsing and maybe watching some videos?
  • Don't care about refresh rate as long as it is 60+ as I don't game
  • I think brightness too isn't important. My Dell 27" has 350 CD/m2 and I use it at 50% brightness. Do I even need to look for higher brightness?
  • I think resolution and contrast are important.
  • Also, looking for something that is easy on my eyes. Spent 15+ hours a day in front of the screen last year and my eyes have become blurry suddenly.
Considering the above, should I go for this? or should I go for something else? I have 30$ in dell rewards so I can wait for a dell deal if required.
