My 6ah lasts around 25 minutes so I would say its accurate. My 1.5 ah lasts only around 5 minutes with the last 2 minutes having limited power, wouldn't suggest lower than 3.0 for this.

Brushed motors are fine for high duty applications because it's on or off. Certainly it may lose 5-10% efficiency but that is relatively minor. The advantage being that brushed motors can last forever and much simpler electronically (if one ever repairs). I used this at my last apartment when my regular one broke, definitely not a replacement for a normal vacuum but it gets the job done. This is a glorified Dustbuster but works good for what is, the 20v compatibility is the main reason I bought it and it lasts a long time with my 6ah.

I recommend getting a pack of ac filters or similar and putting it around the filter that comes with it, I use a hair tie/rubberband to keep it in place. The stock filter gets clogged super fast and isn't washable

Got this last time it went on sale for the same price point. I tend to use it more so around the house and for smaller cleanups. But for car cleaning I still use my DeWalt 20v mini shop vac. I find it has better suction and easier to use in tighter spots, but using these attachments with the mini shop vac makes it even more usable.

Project farm recently reviewed handheld vacuums: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltKcpGOFjiY Dewalt did very well, except it being expensive. Knocking it down a $50 dollars was enough to get me to pull the trigger.

It kind of depends on what battery system you already have. If you're already have the dewalt batteries, and not the Ryobi, then do you really want to start getting a second battery and charger type? The opposite is probably true too. If you already have Ryobi batteries, then maybe that is a better choice.

If you have no battery powered tools, I'd probably go with the Dewalt because they more "contractor grade" than the Ryobi. The Ryobi which are more "home owner" grade, but generally less expensive.
