Just got mine and works great. Pretty accurate (using Tesla monitor) compared to the P737D trigger version I had which was 2-3 psi over actual.

For those that don't know, these digital Ryobi inflators can easily be reset to correct the PSI readings. Put a battery in, turn it on, hold + and - buttons together until the digital screen resets. This will make the reading accurate to within .5 psi if yours is not correctly calibrated from the factory

this kit includes battery and charger with extra $40. I think it's a pretty good starter kit?
I couldn't help but look at that option on the HD page as well. It's a great starter kit if you need a smaller and lighter weight battery and a charger. I'm in for another 2Ah myself. Since I already have two Ryobi 18V chargers, out of curiosity I looked up Ryobi batteries on Amazon and found the following deal on a single PBP006 battery that I might also snag separate of the PCL001 compressor. woot

I bought this at regular price for $40 at Home Depot and this is by far my most used tool. I have owned the handheld Ryobi with the analog gauge, the handheld Ryobi with the digital gauge, and this. This runs cool even after topping off 12 tires!!! I don't know what magic Ryobi pulled off to accomplish this but it is crazy. No more hot tubing or having to wait for cooldown. And about half as loud too!

The gauge is quite accurate too. Within 1 psi for me while the handhelds were always under by 4.

How are these on presta valve's? Do they still latch on with the adapter and not need you to hold it?

You need to hold it. The clamp locks down the adapter.

Has the P747 been discontinued? That model had the best all around design and feature set.
I have the P747 for a few years and never needed to go Costco to inflate my tires (yeah Nitrogen might be better but debatable). But it takes about 20min to inflate a SUP and it is very noisy. You know the feel when someone next to you stares at you with a look.

Can this inflate a SUP with ease?

I have an older version of this and it works great...HOWEVER, I bought a Fantiik S100 from Costco that I use exclusively now. Its smaller, lighter and quieter and works just as well if not better.

Yes, the combo does both and that is what I will primarily use at home. I use this type on everything from pool toys to bikes to car tires.I also got the high pressure version in this deal to leave in the car. I really like how compact it is.
Wouldn't you want a 12v powered one for the car, seems like a waste of a ryobi battery...and you have to keep it charged

The Dual Function Inflator/Deflator PCL031B is also on sale for $49 ($30 off).

I picked up both.
Is the dual function PCL031B both high volume and high pressure? I have to own two versions of the Ryobi pistol type inflators (high pressure/high volume) for inflatables vs tires. Problem is, the high volume has no power at all and cannot even inflate/stretch a rubber balloon. On the other hand, the high pressure is too slow.

Will this solve my problem?

This is the only reason I've kept my Ryobi batteries after a Christmas made me a DeWalt man.

Got this last night. HD "service desk" didn't know where it was. I asked another guy and he took me right to it. Tried today. Seems OK. Two disclaimers noticed in the packaged instructions:
1. Gauge may not be accurate(!)
2. Should not be run more than 5 mins. at a time.
I tested it out on an air tank and it seemed to take 1 min/PSI, 90 to 95 psi.
1.5 A/hr battery almost entirely drained doing this.

GI/Vets discount easy and welcome at HD with this item even tho it was on sale.
I feel like 90-95psi for 1 min and 1.5Ah is pretty extreme.

Can someone test this on maybe 30-35 or 20-35 psi?
