Funny thing is, it's kinda like the fast food vs. sit down restaurant thing. Normal sodas have skyrocketed, but sodas that were always more haven't changed (like Jarritos and the like). Guess now it will just be an infrequent treat -- which is really what it should be anyway.
But I pay... because I like pizza. AND soda!
Luckily I can afford it now. Back then, I remember my mom would buy two slices and ask the guy to cut them in half. Then I would get half a slice, as would my sis and bro. She would watch us devour the pizza, then my mom would say she wasn't hungry and did anyone want more. She'd rip up her half and divvy it up amongst her kids...
I love you mom!!
Anyway, the point is prices went to .75, then a buck a slice. 1.25, 1.50, 1.75... I couldn't believe it when it hit 2.00 a slice. Now its 3.75-4.50 a slice depending on where you go. It never goes down. What can you do? You can hopefully get more income and pay up. Or you can protest and refuse to buy, but... nobody notice enough to elicit any changes.
Walgreens also occasionally has 12 packs 3/$11.99,$12.99, $13.99. though I haven't seen the first in a couple months
I'm in Missouri and regular price on coke is now higher than regular price on Budweiser products!!!
