I have a VSX-LX303 I picked up used a few years back and have been thoroughly impressed. I got it looking brand new with the manuals still in the bags and all of the accessories along with a 5.1 KEF TIAB from a guy for $150. I turned around and sold the speakers and still consider it one of my absolute best deals I've found. It pushes all 9 channels in my home theater setup quite easily. The only issue I've ever had with it was when I recently when I finally went to connect it as part of my Google Home as a cast-enabled device, it doesn't seem to have the functionality available anymore and I'm not sure why. I haven't spent too much time looking into it so it may have an easy fix. I'll definitely be keeping Pioneer Elite on my list of products to look into when I start deep diving into reviews available for future upgrades.

Just here waiting for another 505/RZ-50 deal. The RZ50 I purchased from Adorama last month got destroyed by FedEx.

Fyi this has gone down to $519.

The RZ50 to $799
The Lx505 to $649

The RZ50 doesn't have global crossovers like the 505 and now has access to Dirac's subwoofer RC(DLBC).

Speculation that it has quirks, likely get ironed out with update(s).

I have an LX505 that burned out after a year. Replaced the DSP chip then it burnt out again a year later. I'm done with Pioneer.

I bought one last year. The sound keeps cutting out. I have to hard reset it every week or two. So annoying.

Yes this is a 9.2 AVR.

Keep in mind the two sub outs run parallel/mono and Dirac Live does not include their subwoofer integration/correction RC(DLBC).

Paid $519 before tax back in March for this from Adorama. This isn't a great deal.

These are for Home Theater. 80% of the sound goes to the center channel. Yet, for reasons unknown, manufacturers give you every pre-out under the sun EXCEPT center channel.
