Thanks for posting, but this unit is a clear step down from the Integra and even the Onkyo. This Pioneer unit doesn't have any analog video inputs (like the other two) and also only allows one crossover point to be selected (so it applies to all 9 speakers). IMO those considering this should just wait for the Integra to go on sale for $580 again.

I didn't know about the crossover, that's a significant detriment.
I was hoping to get an RZ50 on sale again. The Integra was my backup in case I got tired of waiting. Very sad to see it go back up in price. Worries me.

I too tried to get a RZ50. I ordered an open-box excellent one from BestBuy.com, but the idiot who returned it didn't include the styrofoam packing and the morons at BB just used a little unsecured bubble-wrap instead. Needless to say the unit got so beat up that it wouldn't even power on. I got my money back from BB and eventually bought the Integra.

So far, but I'm not really pushing and I only did a quick 3-point DIRAC setup. Currently the unit is only driving my 3.1 setup on my main floor, but eventually when my basement is finished it will drive a 5.1.4 setup down there. My mains are Klipsch KG-5.5s and my center is a home-brewed equivalent (same horn tweeter and four 6.5" Klipsch woofers). It's only been connected up for a couple weeks, and I haven't really done any critical listening -- but I have watched a few movies with the new setup.

How much did you pay for the RZ50 with Bestbuy open box in that order?

fYI if you're open to OB and won't need 11 channels.
EE(via Amazon) has the new RZ30 as refurb for $749.
They had OB for the same price on their website & now it's refurb on Amazon. 😉
Much newer, pre outs, with independent sub outs & access to DLBC.
You also get DLBM included which you won't with this,7100,Integra3.4.
