Both accounts must be in an open and active status on the date the interest is paid to receive the promotional APY for that statement cycle. Account transactions may take one or more business days from the transaction date to post to the account.

I don't need to google it. I just go to depositaccounts.com and look it up. I didn't come here to find a rate. I posted one.
If you are still getting 5+% then you previously locked in a rate. The current going rate for savings appears to be 4.5% but even that is subject to change.
Ally's 11 month no penalty cd has dropped from 4% down to 3.75 for "new" cd's.
Even if someone was to google it today it could be totally different two days from now depending on the bank.

On a single account, it's only $250k insurance, sorry. The administration probably won't gut the FDIC.
There was a typo earlier that's since been fixed, making my attempt at a humorous comment irrelevant.
I just do vusxx through chase

Just noticed that. What's your recommendation for this? Open a checking and transfer 1500?
I'm not sure exactly what you are smoking but you should change blends. Are you now talking to yourself because I didn't report any posts but did note YOURS disappeared.
..and here you are starting things back up AGAIN.
I'm curious...you've been on slickdeals 2 years less than me..and yet have never POSTED a thread which means you've NEVER posted a deal...so is this all you come here for? Sounds like it's you screaming for attention. I retired 20 years ago and lived off my investments...what have you done with YOUR life? Oh and I'm less than 55 years old so do the math. Go back to your mother's basement and let the adults discuss finance.
I came here to help others by posting some good rates, not argue with children.
How do I get the 5% savings rate?
Honest Answer? Go back in time to November. Best rate is 4.5% for savings nowadays..for example Jenius Bank. Digital division of SMBC Manubank which has been doing banking for 400 years.
https://www.jeniusbank.
Pibank 5.5%, NewTek Bank 5.25%,
7 Banks with 5% below:
Varo
Ivy Bank
Lending Club
Fitness Bank
Blue Federal Credit Union
Service Credit Union
Mph
Poppy Bank
I show Everbank at 4.75%
