In my experience, Seagate drives run much louder than WD drives. I have two in my array and I can easily tell which they are by the sound coming from the bays.

mine are on the desk 2 feet away, when i'm in the office. i only hear them on occasion when backing up the main one (plex library) to the other two. that's mainly due to my not viewing plex while i'm in the office, so they're really not working. either way though, i's say that mine are not very loud at all.

Was hoping BestBuy would have the 18TB EasyStore for $199.99 like they did last year.
Missed out on last year because I went to HEB first to get two $100 BestBuy Giftcards for $80 each.
Only to get home and see the drive sold out.
I personally want 20tb for $200 Smilie Cmon, I bought my 3x14tb for this price 4 years ago!

I always preferred WD external drives because their cases had actual vents to help cool the HDD. The segate drives only had indents that looked like vents but weren't actually vented. Dunno how they are designed now though.

Shuckable?
Yes. I got IronWolf Drive out of it (three years ago). Not sure which drive is in it now.

They can be shucked and put into QNAP NAS. Recognized as Seagate DA drive, auto formatted with in-disk raid0, and reach 350-400MB/s throughput.

Wish I had the same experience as you. I have two Seagate drives in my array now that were bought in completely different batches (after returning one already) so it doesn't seem to be a case of bad drives (or if it is, that's saying something).

Like I mentioned, my Seagate drives are much louder than the WD that I have. Only responding to share my experience with others who are considering. The volume difference (under heavy load especially) is to the point where I avoid Seagate deals entirely, which is unfortunate considering Seagate typically has really comes in at a great price per size.

Black Friday last year Costco had these same drives for $149.99; I think I'm going to roll the dice and see if Black Friday has these come down closer to this.
