I have this, it's the worst of both worlds.

Not precise enough to be good scissors, not strong enough to be a tin snip.

These scissors are so much better and on sale.

If you need tin snips, just buy a decent pair. They will work 10x better than this one.

Nice tool, if nothing more to quickly open those damn plastic clam-shell packages.

No. The scissors are not long enough.

Think these would work as some small hand held Pruning Shears? Lost my last pair and the purpose made ones are all $20.

Then again it doesn't have the spring open so might get pretty fatiguing after a while.

plenty of such products under $5 (regular price) on Temu. I got one and am very happy (if you can wait for shipping).

I have this and love it. Use it to cut hardware cloth, wires, zip ties, drip irrigation pipes etc. The lock is a bit hard to close/open but otherwise it's high quality.

I bought these a couple weeks ago. Despite other comments here, they do great on sheet metal. I used them to cut z flashing, rain drip edges and step flashing. Worked really well. Also, they're great for trimming shingles, underlayment, cord and trimming back the jacket on Romex. I'm sure they are good for other stuff, but that's all I've used them for so far. I've already gotten my money's worth out of them and they're still cutting like new.

It does. There's a lock on one side, to keep it closed.

These are awesome, one of my most used tools. I cut zip ties, wire, twine, tape, paper.

Huh, I actually love these for general use in the shop - cutting plastics, rope, string, packaging. They work very well for this and I grab for them a lot!

Have at least 3 pairs of these snips, as the kids and the wife take them frequently - and they are fantastic! They will get a light coat of rust on them after a year or so, but doesn't affect their functionality.
